In this video, I read the same text (the Lord’s Prayer) in historical stages of a southeastern English accent, from very late Old English (Anglo-Saxon) through Middle English and Early Modern English. Just for fun, I also project it further and guess, based on ongoing sound changes, what the accent might sound like in another 100 years (although that part is completely speculative, of course).
