For the 4rd ALCS Zomerschool returned to Yorkshire to the University of Sheffield, the ‘outdoor city’. The theme of this year’s summer school was Baked In(gebakken): Dutch language and cultures through a culinary lens. We offered: Dutch Language sessions in small groups Talks and cultural/historical workshops A Low Countries related recreational programme Here is an impression of our activities which included a translation workshop with Jonathan Reeder of Sien Vanmaele’s ‘Zeemaal’ sponsored by Flip Through Flanders.
