Dutch Literature and the Rural Imagination
Papers will discuss the urban-rural divide in historical and modern Dutch literature. Connections with environmental literature, globalization processes, and the history of colonialism are very much appreciated. Working Conditions, Illness, and Wellness in Contemporary Dutch Literature
Papers will discuss working conditions in contemporary Dutch literature, related to physical and mental discomfort and illness. We are particularly interested in the work of millennial authors regarding performance culture, social safety at work, burn-out, etc.
