In the seventeenth century, Dutch missionaries translated Christian texts into the Austronesian language, Siraya, spoken in southwest Taiwan. Some survive in Siraya, but others only survive in translation. Two of the latter are Dutch versifications of the Lord's Prayer and the Apostles' Creed.
