Sheffield University 2025

The Taalunie Gastschrijver in autumn 2025 was the first author ever to win a major Dutch literary prize with a debut novel: Safae El Khannoussi. With the support of the Netherlands Embassy and the Dutch Foundation for Literature, El Khannoussi visited London and then travelled to Sheffield to work with Sutch Studies’ students on our annual Translation Project. This short impression was filmed during the Translation Symposium at the University of Sheffield in December 2025.
