The Institute for Dutch Language Education offers a Dutch for Reading Knowledge Course for graduate students preparing for departmental reading/translation exams and/or for those who need to read Dutch for their research.
Dutch for Reading Knowledge is a course designed for those who are interested in reading Dutch texts (e.g. modern or 17th c. primary sources). The book that is used in class focuses – amongst other themes – on (art) history, social policies and (post-)colonial Netherlands as well as texts that are provided by the participants. The course does not require any previous knowledge of Dutch.
We are planning a course on location and an online course if there are enough applicants.
